6th Form (KS5)
Ridgeway School 6th Form curriculum is designed to prepare our students for their next steps as young adults. We aim to develop in each student aspiration to succeed and achieve their best, while providing a foundation for lifelong learning.
Preparing for Adulthood
Our curriculum is based around the four Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) outcomes.
Bungalow
6th Form students have access to a bungalow which is situated just outside the school grounds, a very short walk from the school main entrance. The bungalow has recently been fully refurbished and consists of a large open plan kitchen and dining area, an accessible toilet, small office, bedroom, lounge and large outdoor space. Students are able to use the bungalow on a weekly basis for a range of purposes, the main one being to practice and develop their independence and life skills in a home environment. This may involve activities such as cooking, cleaning, making the bed, ironing, laundry, planning leisure activities and gardening.
